Connecting Through English: School Lecture Series

Our lecture series gives expatriates living in Mongolia an opportunity to visit secondary schools in ger districts, meet students, and talk with them in English. These exchanges help students practise English and learn about different cultures and experiences.

We have arranged around a dozen meetings so far. It has been rewarding to see visitors recall their own school days and students eagerly ask questions and learn from their guests. These encounters bring warmth, curiosity, and new connections into the classroom.

Listening to Children in Ger Districts

Children in ger districts have dreams for their futures and face challenges that deserve to be heard. This proposed project aims to give them space to share their hopes, describe their everyday experiences, and express what they would like to change in their communities.

We are developing this project and welcome conversations with potential sponsors and partners who can help bring it to life.

Supporting Disability Inclusion

Through our Untold podcasts, we seek to raise awareness of the experiences of people with disabilities. We also work to support schools and kindergartens serving children with disabilities.

Our initial project was funded by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The Taipei Trade and Economic Representative Office in Ulaanbaatar also supported School No. 25, where our team member, Ms. Enkh-Amgalan, teaches. These efforts reflect our commitment to helping children feel included, supported, and valued.

Bringing Music to Schools

When we were growing up in ger districts, our schools had no musical instruments, but we loved our music classes. Those memories inspired us to help bring the joy of making music to today’s students.

With support from the Taipei Trade and Economic Representative Office in Ulaanbaatar, four schools received musical instruments, giving children more opportunities to learn, play, and express themselves through music.
